Come out and support Boys Volleyball!
- Posted March 8, 2022
Hello CT Family!

Our Cherokee Trail Boys Volleyball teams get things started this week with an away game versus Legend!  The team had a very successful year last year and have reloaded to come back even better this year.  Should be a lot of fun to get out and watch them battle.

Here are a couple of links to the season schedule.  Let's get out and show our fellow volleyball players some CT family support!

Volleyball Advanced Weight Training Class
- Posted December 14, 2021 (email sent 12/13/21)

Hello CT Family!

We hope the off season is treating all of you well and that you and yours are ready for some relaxing and recharging over the holidays.

We wanted to drop a quick line to all of this and next year's players and hopefuls.  We have received great news that CT will offer a year-long Volleyball Advanced Weight Training class to all students interested in playing volleyball in the fall (2022-2023 School Year).  This is a great opportunity to earn PE credits while also maintaining and improving conditioning for volleyball both during and after the season.

While this course is not required, the volleyball program STRONGLY ENCOURAGES all players and hopefuls to participate in the class if their schedules allow.

The physical education department has asked us to pass on the following information.

Here is the course description:

This course is designed for students who participate in the CT Volleyball Program. This course will include approximately 90 high intensity minutes of advanced weight training and conditioning. The specific needs of athletes will be the focus of this course, allowing students to develop core strength in major muscle groups, improve overall speed, and increase agility. In season and out of season programming will allow students to develop and execute specific weight training programs and conditioning strategies to become their physical best. This course is performance based; therefore, development and improvement will be measured every 4-6 weeks. The goal of this course is to continue the overall objective of improving the performance and ability of the competitive athlete at Cherokee Trail. This course may be repeated for credit.

Again, while this course is not required to participate in CT Volleyball, we do STRONGLY ENCOURAGE participation as focused training and conditioning will be a huge benefit to participating athletes as well as the teams in our program.  Please talk to your counselor or school administration if you need help or more information.
